Short Plot Summary
Ezequiel is a 10 year old Puerto Rican boy who lives with his moms, grandpa and adopted sister, Marisol, in a quaint little town. Ezi was also adopted by his two moms once they got married. He loves video games, and can’t remember a time when he wasn’t playing them. He has a huge collection of handheld games, console games, action figures, and comics spread around his room. He loves it when his best friend Jamir comes over and they can swap video games and share new comics they got at the game store. Ezi was never one for sports, but one day he gets dragged along to Marisol’s dance class and sees all of the older ballet dancers rhythmically moving to the music, he falls in love with the thought of dancing as an emotional outlet. But to his dismay, his parents don’t agree that boys can do ballet. Only his Grandpa Lucas is confident enough in Ezequiel’s passion to bring him to ballet class and show him that gender doesn’t matter.
